Senior Manager, Product Management – Data Orchestration

📋 Description

• Lead the planning and execution of product roadmaps for Duck Creek’s data orchestration capabilities.

• Create and uphold product requirements for the orchestration of data across policy, billing, claims, distribution, customer, document, analytics, AI, and third-party ecosystems.

• Convert intricate data movement, platform architecture, and insurance workflow needs into product priorities, requirements, trade-offs, and measurable outcomes.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture to establish scalable batch, near-real-time, event-driven, streaming, API-based, and workflow-triggered data flows.

• Formulate requirements for reusable data pipelines, configurable data flows, mappings, transformation templates, validation, dependency management, retries, replay, exception handling, reconciliation, and monitoring.

• Specify requirements for data contracts, schema versioning, event and API payloads, backward compatibility, lifecycle management, metadata, lineage, and consumer notification patterns.

• Prioritize orchestration capabilities that support insurance workflows including policy-to-analytics synchronization, claims event publishing, billing and payment feeds, party synchronization, distribution data flows, document metadata movement, regulatory reporting feeds, and AI-ready data delivery.

• Partner with AI, analytics, and semantic data product teams on LLM grounding, retrieval-augmented generation, feature pipelines, dashboards, reporting marts, knowledge graphs, vector indexes, and intelligent workflow automation.

• Assess adoption, reliability, and business impact using metrics such as pipeline success rates, data latency, onboarding time, implementation-effort reduction, reuse, and downstream data trust.

• Work with Security, Architecture, and Data teams to ensure governance, access, observability, operational controls, and data quality.

• Engage with customer-facing teams and customer stakeholders to gather insights on implementation patterns and operational challenges.

• Create product documentation, requirements, decision materials, and communications for stakeholders.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, AI, Security, Customer Success, Professional Services, and customer stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, Business, Insurance, Analytics, or a related field.

• 6+ years of experience in product management, technical product management, platform product management, data product management, enterprise software, SaaS, PaaS, or similar roles.

• Proven experience leading complex product initiatives or capability areas that require alignment among product, engineering, architecture, data, customer-facing, and business teams.

• Expertise in data platforms, data pipelines, integration platforms, workflow orchestration, data movement, APIs, event-driven architecture, ETL/ELT, data contracts, metadata, lineage, observability, or enterprise integration patterns.

• Ability to translate unclear business and technical issues into structured product priorities, requirements, and measurable outcomes.

• Familiarity with P&C insurance, general insurance, InsurTech, financial services, or other complex regulated industries.

• Experience with platform, data, analytics, AI enablement, or integration products within a multi-product SaaS environment.

• Understanding of data orchestration concepts such as ingestion, transformation, routing, scheduling, synchronization, event publishing, monitoring, exception handling, lineage, and reconciliation.

• Knowledge of batch processing, APIs, webhooks, pub/sub, message queues, event streaming, change data capture, ETL/ELT, and workflow orchestration.

• Awareness of cloud-native platforms, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, data platform services, integration frameworks, and enterprise security patterns.

• Understanding of data contracts, schema management, versioning, metadata, lineage, service-level expectations, data quality rules, and consumer-driven data requirements.

• Familiarity with P&C insurance processes across one or more domains.

• Knowledge of AI, analytics, and automation consumption patterns.

• Proficiency in developing reusable, configurable, observable, secure, and operationally reliable data flow capabilities.

• Skill in prioritizing product work based on customer needs, technical dependencies, implementation effort, operational risk, and business value.

• Ability to define success measures including adoption, latency, reliability, reuse, onboarding efficiency, and data trust.

• Competence in analyzing complex platform and integration issues and transforming them into actionable product decisions.

• Capability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and create alignment between technical and business groups.

• Ability to evaluate trade-offs in ambiguous, multi-stakeholder environments.

• Proficient in preparing clear product documentation, requirements, roadmap materials, and decision records.

• Ability to responsibly utilize AI and LLM tools for product discovery, research, documentation, analysis, and stakeholder communication.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the country of the job location.

• Willingness to travel 10% of the time.

• Master’s degree or equivalent advanced experience in a relevant field (preferred).
