Senior Manager, Product Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand a high-achieving team of Product Designers and UX Researchers, cultivating a culture of constructive feedback, ongoing learning, and psychological safety.

• Establish clear career progression paths, deliver actionable coaching, and enhance execution across both generative UX research methods and high-fidelity interaction design.

• Propel the internal acceptance of innovative AI and automated tools throughout the design process (e.g., AI-assisted prototyping, automated UI generation, and LLM-driven research synthesis) to significantly boost team productivity.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to determine how AI can seamlessly enhance the Oyster user experience, transforming complex global compliance, tax, and payroll data into proactive, multi-modal, and agentic workflows.

• Modernize our Design Operations and expand our global design system to effortlessly incorporate automated, intelligent tokenization and layout generation.

• Act as a strategic counterpart to Engineering, Product, GTM, and Data/AI leaders to harmonize UX strategy with business growth, data model capabilities, and technical feasibility.

• Create design principles for responsible AI, transparency, and data privacy, ensuring that automated workflows sustain user trust in a high-stakes compliance landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product or UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex, data-intensive B2B SaaS or fintech environments.

• 4+ years of formal experience in people management, preferably leading distributed teams across multiple time zones.

• AI Literacy: A profound and demonstrable curiosity along with hands-on experience using GenAI tools to enhance product development workflows and systems.

• Systems Thinker: A solid foundational understanding of designing for non-linear user journeys, asynchronous AI states, and conversational/agentic interfaces.

• [BONUS] Experience in navigating compliance-heavy, highly regulated sectors (Fintech, HRTech, LegalTech).

• [BONUS] Experience in mapping intricate service blueprints where software and human service operations intersect harmoniously.

• A dependable home internet connection (or the ability to secure one).
