Senior Manager, Product and Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Direct our Product and Engineering teams, including an upcoming product manager hire, while remaining sufficiently technically engaged to guide architecture, evaluate key technical decisions, and eliminate obstacles.

• Take ownership of execution across the product roadmap and engineering delivery, collaborating closely with the CEO and the leadership team.

• Spearhead the transition of Clubspeed from an on-premise platform to a cloud-based solution.

• Enhance engineering delivery, quality, predictability, and operational excellence.

• Create and implement a customer-centric product roadmap that harmonizes innovation, customer value, and technical sustainability.

• Lead our initiative to achieve PCI DSS 4.0.1 compliance.

• Integrate AI into our software development processes and overall business operations.

• Mentor, develop, and cultivate a high-performing Product & Engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in developing commercial software, including a background in leading engineering teams.

• Proven experience in modernizing legacy systems and delivering cloud-based SaaS solutions.

• A solid technical foundation in modern web technologies, cloud infrastructure, software architecture, and engineering best practices.

• Ability to balance product priorities, technical debt, and customer demands effectively.

• Practical experience utilizing AI development tools to enhance engineering productivity.

• A pragmatic, player-coach leadership style with a focus on action, ownership, and continuous improvement.
