This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate with the Sales leadership team to establish our strategy for identifying, closing, and supporting opportunities within our sales funnel and existing customer base.
• Engage across various functions to ensure collaboration towards shared objectives and appropriate team capacity.
• Develop and implement programs that empower Presales Engineers to effectively accelerate our Sales funnel.
• Attract, nurture, and inspire a team of highly skilled Presales Engineers, continuously educating your team while seeking innovative solutions for enhancement. Ensure your team receives the necessary support to thrive, alongside providing direct mentoring and daily guidance.
• Oversee the technical strategy and forecast, define the role of Presales Engineers in expediting new sign-ups, and optimize team deployment. Measure and communicate outcomes—utilize data to convey results and inform decisions.
• Establish clear expectations for your team, eliminate obstacles when feasible, and actively communicate trade-offs to stakeholders when prioritizing your team's focus.
• Collaborate with Product, Support, Sales, Operations, Legal, Security, Engineering, and all other relevant departments to ensure customer success on our platform.
• Over 7 years of relevant presales experience within the SaaS or CPaaS sectors, including a BS in Computer Science or equivalent software engineering background.
• More than 3 years of formal leadership experience, with a proven ability to coach for performance, cultivate psychological safety, and support professional development for team members across various seniority levels.
• Demonstrated capacity to Drive Business Results not merely through meeting targets, but by establishing strategic priorities, empowering your team to work more efficiently, and making data-driven decisions that align with the organization's larger objectives.
• Proven history of building high-performance teams and leading by example.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to influence across functions and resolve complex conflicts with sales leadership or other stakeholders through a "teach and demonstrate" approach.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, always prepared to address customer-blocking issues and work opportunities directly alongside your team.
• A comprehensive understanding of the developer adoption cycle, along with experience in technology areas pertinent to Twilio’s market: contact centers, IP-based telephony, messaging, real-time communications, security, authentication, email, and scaling web and mobile applications.
• Tech-savvy leaders with experience in cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure), cloud application architecture, and AI systems.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies.
• Experience in cross-functional pre-sales or post-sales technical consulting, software engineering, or product management is advantageous.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proactive in leading change. Proven ability to communicate the rationale behind organizational changes, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain team agility during transitions.
