This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Oversee all facets of cloud infrastructure and corporate IT operations.
• Collaborate with teams in security, engineering, data, customer success, and leadership.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions for the data platform and services ecosystem.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code primarily using Terraform and advocate for best practices in automation and configuration management.
• Enhance investment in observability to better serve products and customers.
• Create and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Scale data and SaaS services while ensuring reliability and performance.
• Work with leadership and team leads to align technical strategies with business objectives.
• Foster an agile DevOps culture, implement effective CI/CD practices, and enhance the developer experience.
• Establish and improve best practices, tools, and processes for infrastructure and IT.
• Function as a hands-on leader, addressing technical challenges directly.
• Mentor and guide team members.
• Report directly to the CTO.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in an Infrastructure environment.
• At least 5 years of experience leading and developing cloud infrastructure and IT operations in a SaaS and/or data product environment.
• Experience in an Azure environment is preferred.
• A background of 2 or more years working with early-stage startups.
• Comfort with ambiguity and risk management.
• Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Comprehensive understanding of architectures that support data platforms and service-oriented systems.
• Capacity to make decisions swiftly and invest appropriately without over-engineering or under-engineering solutions.
• Ability to maintain security and compliance standards while promoting business productivity.
• Proven record of mentoring and developing technical team members.
• Experience managing Corporate IT teams.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Comfortable providing direct support to customers.
• Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US on a full-time basis for any employer.
