This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the asset quality and loan salability function for secured lending across home equity lines of credit, auto direct, and auto indirect dealer channels, establishing the review methodology, operating cadence, reporting standards, and escalation procedures for a small team of asset quality analysts.
• Assess portfolio-level salability risks within secured lending channels by monitoring eligibility adherence trends, defect patterns, collateral documentation quality, and exception concentrations; escalate repurchase and put-back risks to Capital Markets and bank partners prior to impacting loan sale execution or partner commitments.
• Track asset quality and portfolio performance metrics related to salability, such as early payment defaults, delinquency rates, loss severity, prepayment trends, non-performing loan developments, exception patterns, and threshold breaches.
• Analyze origination and channel quality across secured lending programs, focusing on collateral documentation completeness, lien perfection, override trends, pricing consistency, dealer or partner performance, concentration risk, and possible fair lending exposure.
• Manage the implementation and performance oversight of secured lending models, which includes monitoring production models, tracking thresholds, maintaining version control, defining use-case boundaries, updating model inventory, assessing change impacts, and escalating performance issues or out-of-bounds behavior.
• Convert loan review insights, portfolio trends, and model performance signals into actionable initiatives by identifying root causes, developing remediation plans, monitoring issue resolution, and escalating risks before they impact loan sale execution, partner commitments, or regulatory compliance.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial services risk management, compliance, credit operations, asset quality, model governance, or other relevant control functions supporting secured or asset-backed consumer lending products.
• Proven experience in loan-level quality review, loan salability supervision, investor delivery, managing repurchase or put-back risks, conducting bank partner audits, reviewing collateral documentation, or performing pre-sale quality control within a regulated lending context.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor portfolio performance and asset quality indicators across various origination channels, including early payment defaults, delinquencies, prepayments, loss severity, non-performing loan trends, credit policy exceptions, threshold breaches, or pricing and fair lending patterns at the channel level.
• Experience in first-line model oversight, production model monitoring, model implementation governance, documentation of model inventories, or processes for escalating model performance issues.
• Background in leading analysts, managing a review function, or owning cross-functional risk, compliance, credit, asset quality, or operational programs.
• Competitive salary, inclusive of base pay, bonus potential, and annual equity grants that vest quarterly.
• Retirement benefits to assist with future planning, including a 401(k) or Group Retirement Savings Plan with a company match of $2 for every $1 contributed, up to $15,000 yearly (USD in the US, CAD in Canada).
