Director, Business Data Governance & Stewardship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee comprehensive data governance policies, hierarchies, responsibilities, and roles across operational data domains.

• Create and nurture a collaborative team of data stewards throughout commercial and operational sectors.

• Act as the primary coordination hub for data governance projects.

• Collaborate with internal partners to co-create and execute master data management (MDM) strategies.

• Promote shared accountability and ownership for data quality and stewardship among commercial and operational business units.

• Ensure that governance initiatives are aligned with enterprise objectives, allowing data policies to enhance rather than hinder commercial and business functions.

• Spearhead the effort to centralize stewardship practices while maintaining and reinforcing departmental data ownership.

• Develop clear accountability frameworks and service-level agreements (SLAs) for data management in partnership with data-owning departments.

• Oversee the monitoring and enhancement of data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across enterprise systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory; a Master's degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience is required.

• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional initiatives and achieve consensus among stakeholders.

• Knowledge of A.I. and experience in its application and implementation.

• Strong understanding of MDM platforms, data quality frameworks, and compliance standards.

• Significant experience with various enterprise CRM & ERP platforms.

• Familiarity with HRIS, QMS, and/or Financial Accounting systems.

• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel as needed, up to 20% of the time.
