This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +7 more states.
• Create and enhance the semantic framework for health experiences aimed at members, which includes ontologies, schemas, value sets, metadata models, and terminology systems.
• Convert intricate clinical concepts into straightforward, safe, and intuitive in-app guidance that embodies both scientific accuracy and user-friendliness.
• Develop scalable taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, content models, and information architectures that enhance consistency across app interfaces, prompts, labels, searches, and forthcoming health features.
• Establish rules and governance for the classification, presentation, review, and maintenance of health information throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate personalized and AI-driven health experiences by structuring the safe use of wearable, survey, behavioral, and EHR data.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Science, Clinical, and Regulatory teams to ensure that informatics decisions are in sync with product requirements, technical execution, and clinical quality.
• Advanced education, such as RN/NP/PA, MD/DO, or MS/MPH, in a relevant clinical, health informatics, or similar field, with proven experience in digital health or clinical product development.
• Over 5 years of experience in health informatics, clinical ontology, taxonomy, terminology, health data modeling, knowledge management, or related roles within digital health, healthcare, or health technology.
• Practical experience with clinical terminologies such as SNOMED CT, RxNorm, LOINC, and ICD-10, and their application to product-ready schemas, knowledge graphs, decision logic, or data models.
• Experience in designing scalable information architectures, controlled vocabularies, taxonomy systems, metadata models, or governance frameworks for digital products.
• Strong ability to translate clinical information into clear, member-friendly guidance without sacrificing rigor or safety.
• Experience collaborating closely with software and data engineering teams in contemporary product development settings.
• Demonstrated capability to work effectively across Product, Design, Engineering, Science, Clinical, and Regulatory teams.
• Dedication to health equity, inclusive design, and the creation of systems that cater to diverse global populations.
• Experience in building or managing ontology-backed or rules-based systems for personalized health guidance, clinical decision support, or consumer health experiences (preferred).
• Familiarity with AI or large language model applications in healthcare, particularly where structured knowledge, terminology, or review systems enhance quality and consistency (preferred).
