Senior Manager – GSSO Vendor Relationship Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the intake of FSP resource requests, track approvals, and manage staffing administration within GSSO.

• Monitor FSP headcount, approvals, onboarding/offboarding status, role alignment, and any staffing modifications.

• Enhance and administer staff tracking tools, dashboards, approval logs, and resource-management documentation.

• Evaluate staffing trends, identify resource gaps, analyze approval cycle times, onboarding delays, plan variances, and staffing KPIs.

• Create staffing dashboards, reports, presentations, and executive summaries.

• Maintain information on contracted resources within Pfizer systems, including Get Access.

• Assist in FSP resource forecasting and the review and approval of invoices.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to synchronize resource-management processes, staffing data, delivery metrics, and communications.

• Establish business processes that support staffing operations, resource governance, and transparency in processes.

• Discover and implement AI and digital tool opportunities for resource tracking, analytics, reporting, automation, and decision-making.

• Aid in FSP staffing, resource tracking, governance, and enhancements to the CRO/FSP vendor relationship process.

• Review FSP delivery metrics to detect staffing-related risks, gaps, delays, onboarding issues, plan variances, and trends.

• Coordinate with CRO/FSP providers and internal teams regarding issue escalation, mitigation planning, and resolution.

• Support vendor training and oversight activities in accordance with Pfizer standards.

• Draft, revise, and maintain process documents, SOPs, and guidance materials.

• Contribute to FSP management and the delivery of contracted resources.

• Work together with GSSO, Clinical Development & Operations, project management, and other stakeholders.

• Act as a liaison between internal teams and external CRO/FSP partners.

• Participate in meetings, resource-planning discussions, workstreams, and strategic initiatives.

• Develop and present presentations, process documents, and training materials.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in clinical operations, resource management, staffing operations, workforce planning, or similar operational roles.

• Proven experience in managing resource planning, staffing operations, headcount tracking, approval workflows, or workforce planning processes.

• Familiarity with maintaining resource trackers, staffing dashboards, approval logs, operational reports, or comparable monitoring tools.

• Strong analytical capabilities to interpret staffing trends, resource gaps, cycle times, plan variances, onboarding statuses, and operational KPIs.

• Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and external providers to resolve issues related to staffing, onboarding, role alignment, or resource deployment.

• Background in clinical operations, including exposure to or experience with FSPs or CROs.

• Experience in implementing project-management tools and techniques, including integrated plans, process timelines, and stakeholder deliverables.

• Proven track record of implementing projects and process improvements utilizing change-management tools and techniques.

• Experience in drafting process documentation and creating presentations for a variety of audiences.

• Familiarity with AI tools or digital innovations in clinical operations, staffing analytics, resource management, vendor management, or related fields.

• Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

• Nice-to-have: Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a PhD with at least 1 year of experience.

• Nice-to-have: Degree in drug development, clinical operations, business operations, workforce planning, or a related field.

• Nice-to-have: Experience with FSP/CRO resource models, contracted-resource governance, staffing dashboards, or portfolio-level workforce planning.

• Nice-to-have: Experience evaluating or deploying AI-enabled tools or platforms.

• Nice-to-have: Ability to drive digital transformation within a matrixed organization.
