This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement detailed, impactful strategies for scientific publications, communication, and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Clinical Development to ensure the effective, compliant, and persuasive communication of scientific and clinical information.
• Lead the formulation and oversee the execution of global and US scientific communication and healthcare professional engagement strategies.
• Adjust strategies in response to changes in the disease landscape, emerging data, innovative channels, and insights from cross-functional teams.
• Establish, execute, and monitor metrics to evaluate the impact of publications and enhanced content.
• Convert scientific communication and healthcare professional engagement strategies into global and US publications, as well as medical, scientific, and payer content in collaboration with Amgen India.
• Create product publication strategies and manage the planning and execution of publications.
• Develop strategic briefs for scientific content and guide the production of publication deliverables such as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and enhanced content.
• Contribute to process enhancements, standardization, system improvements, and digital innovation.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators to measure impact and efficiency.
• Support the training of Scientific Communications personnel in India and other regions.
• Foster collaboration between Amgen India Scientific Communications and various cross-functional partners and affiliates.
• Manage external vendors and agencies to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in transitioning vendor activities to Amgen India.
• Provide mentorship as necessary.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs OR Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs OR Associate’s degree with 10 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs OR High school diploma/GED with 12 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs.
• Demonstrated experience in publication strategy, development, and vendor management within the biopharmaceutical sector, and/or clinical or research environments in the relevant therapeutic area.
• Familiarity with publication planning, publication guidelines, and transparency standards, including ICMJE and current Good Publication Practice Guidelines.
• Strong analytical abilities and communication skills.
• Experience with multi-channel scientific platforms and digital engagement strategies at a pharmaceutical company or a digital agency primarily serving the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in Artificial Intelligence and digital fluency.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% of the time.
