Senior Manager, FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, which include variance analysis, KPIs, and executive scorecards.

• Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure timely and precise close processes and report alignment.

• Manage audit and investor reporting deliverables, taking ownership of FP&A inputs from start to finish.

• Conduct variance analysis on critical metrics like utilization rates and cost-per-case, offering actionable insights.

• Perform FP&A month-end and quarter-end close activities alongside executive reporting.

• Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes in partnership with department leaders.

• Develop three-statement models, scenario plans, and models for headcount and compensation.

• Monitor and evaluate headcount, operating expenses, and revenue drivers.

• Create and sustain detailed financial models to facilitate strategic decision-making.

• Own and enhance three-statement financial and operational models and processes, including headcount planning, departmental budgeting, capital allocation, and management reporting.

• Conduct monthly budget-versus-actual reviews with department heads.

• Identify and assess value-creation opportunities across margin, pricing, cost structure, and working capital, and drive decisions based on findings.

• Collaborate with Accounting, Pricing, Contracting, and Operations teams to analyze segment and client profitability.

• Act as a finance partner for business units, providing performance insights and strategic recommendations.

• Promote financial accountability and transparency within the organization.

• Standardize and enhance reporting processes across various departments.

• Lead the shift from Excel-based planning to a modern FP&A platform.

• Develop dashboards and support the automation of recurring reporting using tools like Power BI.

• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy.

• Assist with strategic projects and automation efforts to enhance access to real-time financial and operational data.

• Build and advance Finance processes, including cross-departmental collaboration, internal team process development, and model creation and maintenance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or similar roles.

• Previous experience in consulting, private equity, transaction diligence, or formal FP&A training programs is highly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Applied Science, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Experience in technology-enabled healthcare, services, or SaaS/subscription-based businesses is preferred.

• Strong financial modeling and Excel capabilities, including advanced formulas and operational-to-financial forecasting.

• Familiarity with NetSuite and planning tools like Adaptive Insights is highly preferred.

• Ability to collect and integrate data from various sources.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach.

• History of adding value beyond the core reporting responsibilities, identifying opportunities, conducting analyses, and implementing changes.

• Experience and knowledge in data modeling and SQL are strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated self-motivation, critical thinking, and the ability to independently drive projects.

• Proven ability to operate autonomously and proactively identify and pursue opportunities to enhance the finance function.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
