This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Lead and oversee the financial operations of assigned regional Manheim Auctions.
• Act as a finance business partner and trusted advisor to the Auction Leadership team.
• Serve as a liaison among auction locations, center finance, and centralized Accounting teams.
• Manage the overall financial operations of the designated locations.
• Guide the auction Finance team, providing necessary communication and feedback.
• Foster team development and promote employee engagement.
• Prepare and review consolidated monthly and annual financial results for leadership presentations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Credit & Collections, Operations, and administrative functions.
• Identify and influence operational efficiencies, opportunities in the operating model, and improvements in cost structure.
• Analyze trends and variances against plans to enhance operating results.
• Prepare, review, and present monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term financial plans.
• Develop driver-based models to support Auctions.
• Create or oversee business cases for new investment proposals.
• Maintain strong relationships with operating and corporate stakeholders.
• Collaborate across Cox Automotive to ensure the appropriate level of Finance services.
• Stay updated on finance best practices and relevant technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting with over 8 years of business experience focused on financial planning, financial analysis, and business case modeling.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience, a Ph.D. with a minimum of 3 years, or no degree with 12+ years of experience.
• A minimum of 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• An MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
• Robust understanding of financial concepts, practices, and procedures, including IRR, NPV, DCF, and payback.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, encompassing logical and reference formulas, financial functions, pivot tables, financial model structure/design, assumption toggling, charting/graphing, and executive presentation formatting.
• Familiarity with Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Reporting/Essbase is a significant advantage.
• Ability to collaborate across functional groups in a matrixed organization.
• Proficient in preparing and delivering executive-level presentations and insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to manage multiple shifting priorities and work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating personal work tasks.
• Advanced MS PowerPoint skills are preferred, focusing on professional presentation design and formatting.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
