Senior Manager, Enterprise OS, Virtualization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee global services for Windows, Linux/UNIX, and hypervisor platforms that support HPE's enterprise operations.

• Integrate two teams into a unified organization.

• Streamline processes, tools, and technologies into a singular operating framework.

• Promote modernization, compliance, operational excellence, and AI-driven automation.

• Lead an international team alongside managed service providers to create resilient, secure, scalable, and efficient platform services.

• Update enterprise operating systems and virtualization platforms, including Windows Server, Linux/UNIX, VMware, and HVM.

• Implement platform standardization, lifecycle health, patch compliance, security hardening, and operational readiness.

• Utilize AI-driven automation, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and intelligent operations.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to provide dependable and scalable IT services.

• Formulate and execute strategic roadmaps for complex, global OS and virtualization environments.

• Enhance reliability, compliance, patch health, vulnerability remediation, and operational consistency.

• Minimize manual tasks and improve service delivery through AI, automation, and analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure.

• 4+ years in leadership positions managing enterprise platform or infrastructure services.

• In-depth knowledge of enterprise Windows Server, Linux/UNIX platforms, and hypervisor ecosystems.

• Demonstrated experience with OS lifecycle management, patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, platform hardening, automation, and operational readiness.

• Solid background in automation, observability, monitoring, configuration management, and AI-assisted operations.

• Capability to develop and implement strategic roadmaps for complex, global OS and virtualization environments.

• Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams, managed service providers, and executive stakeholders.
