This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.
• Lead a team of Data Services experts focused on designing, developing, and overseeing our Cloud Analytics Data Platform.
• Construct a contemporary cloud data architecture that includes a Data Lake, Pipelines for the ingestion and processing of batch and event data, Data Warehouses, and data lineage and cataloging.
• Implement system enhancements and adopt new technologies aimed at data storage, profiling, processing, management, security, and integration with business applications.
• Comprehend existing business applications to support information and solution architecture.
• Facilitate the creation of change management processes to regulate data input and maintenance, data stewardship, and access control.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to develop and manage essential master data business processes, ensuring accurate data collection and maintenance.
• Create and own the procedure for evaluating and auditing data quality (establishing data quality KPIs, etc.) and guide the business on areas for improvement.
• Continuously seek opportunities for data optimization and oversee data management, governance, security, and analysis.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of workflows, data dependencies, and translate business, data, and reporting requirements into logical data structures.
• Recruit top talents, identify each team member's potential, and provide technical guidance, leadership, and advice on planning, designing, and implementing data solutions.
• Ensure that products/pipelines are test-driven, easily maintainable, and reusable.
• Design and construct an infrastructure for the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a diverse range of data sources.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing, designing, and maintaining large-scale data solutions.
• An equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Informatics, Analytics, or another quantitative field.
• Experience in managing engineers and guiding them through project planning, design, development, quality control, deployment, and data engineering best practices.
• Strong understanding of building data pipelines, datasets, and data architecture from raw and unstructured data.
• Hands-on experience in analyzing and architecting/re-architecting data platforms on Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Experience in designing and implementing data ingestion solutions on Azure/AWS/GCP using various approaches.
• Must possess experience in designing and architecting data lakes on cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data security best practices and experience in building secure data solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with various relational databases, query languages, query authoring, and related tools.
• Familiarity with operating NoSQL clusters and event data stores.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS tools and technologies.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
