Senior Manager, Data Science – Styling Algorithms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead innovative AI and ML initiatives to enhance styling experiences and amplify stylists’ influence on client interactions.

• Develop the product roadmap for client-facing styling experiences and broaden personalization opportunities.

• Motivate the team by promoting creativity, ownership, constructive feedback, and teamwork.

• Represent the Styling and Merchandising teams by assisting partners in understanding stylist feedback patterns and inventory algorithms.

• Collaborate with product managers, data science teams, UI/UX designers, and business leaders to establish and refine business goals.

• Manage the complete algorithm development lifecycle, from ideation and experimentation to testing and production implementation.

• Establish best practices for team collaboration, code quality, AI utilization, and data management.

• Keep abreast of advancements in AI-assisted development, AI-enabled product experiences, machine learning, and fashion technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field is required.

• Over 5 years of experience in designing and implementing AI and ML solutions, preferably in retail personalization, focusing on agentic capabilities.

• At least 2 years of experience as a technical lead or direct manager of a team.

• Proficiency in writing and reviewing production-quality code, preferably in Python.

• Practical knowledge of AI-assisted coding best practices and the development of agentic product solutions.

• Experience with online A/B testing, experimentation methodologies, and performance metrics.

• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and distributed data systems.

• Capability to foster trust with teams, stakeholders, and technical partners.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey intricate technical concepts to business audiences.
