This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop, manage, and enhance data and business intelligence platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to collect requirements and establish data solution architecture.
• Construct and implement ETL pipelines, data models, and monitoring controls.
• Oversee the complete delivery of data architecture and pipeline solutions, encompassing planning, requirements gathering, design, construction, and testing.
• Design and advance a governed semantic layer to serve as the single source of truth for business intelligence.
• Create and implement a data quality framework featuring monitoring, alerting, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, resolution, and impact assessments.
• Manage and consistently enhance data architecture and pipelines, monitoring standards, and operational controls.
• Lead the planning for Tableau platform management, including updates, enhancements, maintenance, and communication with stakeholders.
• Ensure the BI platform's availability, performance, security, operational integrity, and adherence to governance standards.
• Establish foundational AI-enabled analytics capabilities within the BI platform.
• Collaborate with teams in Analytics, Application Development, Data Collection Strategy & Operations, IT Operations, Product Management, and Regional Data Systems & Strategy.
• Develop, manage, track, and execute project plans for owned workstreams while balancing competing priorities.
• Facilitate sprint planning, execution, and delivery of releases.
• Monitor and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and obstacles.
• Mentor team members in the development of data and BI solutions, including validation, quality checks, and documentation.
• Manage and nurture one or more FTE or contractor team members through expectations, feedback, and coaching.
• Report to the Senior Director of Data Management and Governance.

• Knowledge of SQL, Spark, PySpark, on-premises and cloud-based data platform management and architecture, CI/CD, ETL/data pipelines, version control, SSIS, agile sprint operations, project management tools, and machine learning principles.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in data engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience with SQL-based data platforms, such as SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Fabric/OneLake, Snowflake, or Databricks, specifically in building and managing ETLs/pipelines.
• Experience in managing and mentoring data engineers.
• Strong technical skills in SSIS, Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience in overseeing Tableau infrastructure and operations in both on-premises and cloud settings.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD workflows using Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• A Bachelor’s degree in data engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
