This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the contracting strategy and execution for designated national payer accounts, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
• Manage the complete contract development process in collaboration with Market Access account management, Legal, Coverage and Pricing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Create pricing proposals, term sheets, RFP responses, and amendments to facilitate customer negotiations and contract renewals.
• Act as the business owner for designated customer contracts, encompassing contract strategy, negotiation support, execution, and issue escalation.
• Offer clear, decision-oriented insights to senior leadership regarding account dynamics, pricing considerations, and contract recommendations.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned customers, including their business model, membership trends, financial aspects, market position, and relevant organizational changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product-specific pricing strategies and ensure that contract terms are operationally feasible.
• Assist with post-signature contract requirements, including contract interpretation, payment-related inquiries, dispute resolution, formulary validation, and other operational issues.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and recommendations concerning customer strategy, contract performance, and pricing decisions.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of sales & marketing operations experience OR Master’s degree with 4 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experience OR Associate’s degree with 10 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experience OR High school diploma / GED with 12 years of sales & marketing operations or pricing experience.
• An advanced degree is preferred (e.g., MBA or equivalent experience).
• Over 6 years of experience in solving complex business challenges and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in reading and comprehending complex legal contract documents.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales and marketing.
• Proven track record of increasing responsibility and leadership experience.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Previous experience in providing and presenting information for executive management decision-making.
• Capability to manage in a highly dynamic, interactive, and matrixed environment.
• In-depth understanding of the US commercial and government healthcare and reimbursement landscape.
• Prior experience leading a contract development team.
