This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of the internal reporting process, which includes the creation of consolidated monthly and quarterly reporting packs (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Oversee the complete production of the Controllership reporting deck, ensuring it is prepared for senior leadership review.
• Provide thorough analysis of financial results and variances compared to previous periods and forecasts.
• Enhance reporting content, clarity, and insights by developing KPI-driven analytics.
• Collaborate with FP&A and regional finance teams to synchronize reported results with business performance narratives.
• Spearhead initiatives aimed at improving reporting timelines, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Review consolidation outputs, which include intercompany eliminations and necessary adjustments.
• Manage a team of two remote employees based in India who assist with the monthly closing process, including journal entries and intercompany reconciliations.
• Foster succession planning and skill development within the team.
• Lead efforts to optimize financial reporting systems (including Oracle, HFM, and other financial systems), managing any system changes as projects.
• Advocate for automation, standardization, and enhancements in data quality.
• Assist with the external financial reporting process, including Form 10-K and 10-Q, ensuring the preparation of footnotes for specific areas, such as pensions.
• Create and maintain process documentation to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) for areas of responsibility.
• Support annual audit and quarterly review activities conducted by external auditors.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Over 7 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Proficiency in HFM.
• Skilled in MS Office.
• Experience with SEC reporting.
