This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Continuously enhance the channel strategy to align with Akamai and adapt to market dynamics.
• Lead a team responsible for maintaining the existing partner ecosystem, including Distributors, VARS, DVARs, MSPs, CSPs, and Alliance partners, to ensure sustainable growth.
• Identify and recruit potential partners to develop new revenue streams.
• Manage senior stakeholder engagement both internally and externally to secure commitment and resources for the growth of the partner business.
• Drive the team to execute regular partner planning and review sessions.
• Gather market insights to bring back to Akamai, enhancing partner programs effectively.
• Collaborate with the channel marketing and enablement teams to oversee the execution of the channel marketing and enablement plans.
• Achieve targets for new customer acquisition and new product sales.
• Manage channel conflicts in accordance with established rules of engagement, creating a fair and transparent experience for partners.
• Support partners in service delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction and a smooth billing experience.
• Possess over 8 years of experience in channel sales and partner management within the IT/tech industry in India, with a proven track record of managing a comprehensive partner ecosystem and driving business growth.
• Have experience in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or networking solutions — preferably within a multi-product portfolio context.
• Exhibit executive presence with the capacity to influence partner leadership, internal stakeholders, and demonstrate commercial acumen.
• Be an effective communicator and team player, capable of managing conflicts and leading with clarity while adapting to various situations.
• Must be based in India, with a willingness to travel domestically and occasionally within the APJ region.
