This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the analysis of category performance metrics (share, ACV, TDPs, velocity, competitive trends).
• Manage the relationship with NielsenIQ, encompassing data access, tools, and governance.
• Convert category trends into actionable opportunities for assortment, pricing, and shelf strategy execution.
• Develop and enhance reporting mechanisms across the organization.
• Provide consistent and reliable performance insights (weekly, monthly, executive dashboards).
• Create, maintain, and publish custom product totals within a syndicated database, enabling the organization to view business metrics relevant to the categories we compete in.
• Remove fragmented reporting and establish a unified narrative across teams.
• Utilize automation and AI tools to enhance the speed, accuracy, and accessibility of reporting.
• Consolidate store, digital, and shopper metrics into a single comprehensive view.
• Identify gaps and opportunities, quantify their potential impact, and prioritize necessary actions.
• Employ advanced analytics to reveal trends and opportunities.
• Facilitate regular business reviews (e.g., quarterly reviews) using the omni scorecard to pinpoint gaps, prioritize actions, and monitor progress with key retail partners.
• Develop tailored category deep dives for prominent retail partners.
• Identify growth drivers, assortment, pricing, and shopper gaps.
• Translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
• Construct customer-ready narratives and quantify impact.
• Analyze shopper behavior at the retailer level, including penetration versus category, repeat rates, and basket dynamics.
• Identify strategies to enhance retention, trade-up, and lifetime value within each retailer.
• Apply shopper insights to shape assortment, merchandising, and customer growth strategies.
• Collaborate with the internal insights team to leverage brand-level shopper insights and translate them into retailer-specific actions.
• Support planning initiatives with forward-looking insights.
• Identify high-opportunity stores, SKUs, and market segments.
• Develop tools and models to assist in decision-making.
• Convert data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Support customer and leadership presentations.
• Emphasize actionable takeaways ('so what / now what').
• 7–10+ years of experience in CPG analytics or category management.
• Extensive experience with category analytics (ACV, TDPs, velocity, share).
• Proven ownership of syndicated data (NielsenIQ, Discover, Circana Liquid Data, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to streamline reporting across teams, creating a single, reliable source of truth.
• Translate data into clear and actionable growth strategies (beyond mere insights).
• Quantify opportunities and assess their potential to facilitate prioritization.
• Experience in developing customer-facing category narratives, including supporting and presenting during line reviews, JBPs, or similar contexts.
• Ability to confidently represent analytics in customer discussions, including explaining, simplifying, and defending recommendations.
• Experience utilizing data, automation, or AI tools to enhance the speed and quality of analysis.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills across Sales, Category, and eCommerce teams.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear, compelling narratives.
