Senior Manager, Business Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete delivery of strategic initiatives from their definition to execution, which includes the launch and scaling of new products and services.

• Formulate strategies based on a comprehensive understanding of business objectives, limitations, and market dynamics, backed by thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis.

• Cultivate a deep understanding of our customers, providers, and partners to create a robust perspective on what is significant for each initiative, which will guide our strategy and prioritization.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Operations, Finance, Legal, and more, to synchronize priorities, eliminate obstacles, and act with urgency.

• Establish and manage the operating rhythm of the division, encompassing annual planning cycles, quarterly business reviews, and continuous goal tracking.

• Lead group-wide prioritization and tradeoff decisions, ensuring that resources are concentrated on the highest-value opportunities.

• Promote the use of shared dashboards and reports, maintain visibility into initiative KPIs, and proactively present insights with clear recommendations.

• Assist the leadership team in preparing for company and board-level reviews, ensuring that the division presents with clarity and confidence.

• Act as a member of the Porch Consumer Services leadership team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-12 years of experience in strategy or business operations, ideally within a high-growth startup or technology organization.

• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives from strategy to execution with measurable outcomes, including the launch of new products or service offerings.

• Strong inclination towards action; adept at navigating ambiguity, acting with urgency, and maintaining focus on results rather than processes.

• Outstanding communication skills and executive presence, with the capability to align stakeholders across diverse, cross-functional teams.

• Experience in establishing and managing internal operating rhythms, including business reviews, planning cycles, and performance reporting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the talent to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools as a genuine accelerator and integral part of your work in research, analysis, automation, and communication.
