Business Operations Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Identify operational obstacles: Conduct audits on support, publishing, and operations workflows to pinpoint processes that are manual, redundant, or struggling under high demand.

• Analyze and redesign processes: Chart existing workflows, establish performance benchmarks, re-engineer for greater efficiency, and oversee implementation until metrics show improvement and stabilization.

• Model unit economics: Assess the cost to serve a student per program and actively monitor overhead to avert margin decline.

• Utilize automation: Assess and adopt automation tools when suitable, while maintaining the discipline to preserve manual processes when they prove to be more efficient.

• Ensure process longevity: Develop comprehensive documentation, assign ownership, and offer training to guarantee that rebuilt processes remain sustainable and do not regress.

• Maintain visibility on performance: Monitor two or three ongoing re-engineering initiatives with clear baseline metrics, anticipated outcomes, and completion timelines for executive review.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in business operations, process enhancement, or operational analysis with a proven track record of delivering measurable results.

• Capability to model cost and volume dynamics on a whiteboard or in a spreadsheet independently.

• Proven experience in building and deploying automations that others depend on, coupled with the discernment to recognize when to keep a process manual.

• Established ability to set performance baselines prior to intervention and ensure results are maintained after implementation.

• Competence in creating clear, actionable documentation that allows team members to carry out processes autonomously.

• Willingness to work during Indian business hours with regular overlap into Australian time zones.
