This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Achieve primary objectives related to volume, market share, and sales fundamentals such as Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, and Shelving for designated customers while ensuring the lowest possible costs.
• Enhance company revenue through brokerage, commissions, and bonuses, while managing manufacturer expenditures and adhering to budget constraints.
• Create and promote strategic Customer Business Plans. Coordinate cross-functional teams—including Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Retail—to fulfill in-store presence and business goals.
• Act as the main point of contact for issues specific to principals. Establish and sustain robust relationships with customers, principals, and trade partners. Represent the company professionally at industry forums and committees.
• Identify and chase new business opportunities. Exhibit innovative skills to broaden principal portfolios and stimulate volume growth.
• Oversee trade-marketing funds in compliance with company and principal regulations. Reduce sales-related deductions and ensure financial responsibility.
• Facilitate communication among General Managers, principals, and Account Managers. Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on significant initiatives such as product launches and promotional campaigns.
• Keep an eye on market pricing and competitive behaviors. Provide prompt feedback and insights to principals and internal teams to refine strategies.
• Make use of advanced tools (Excel, PowerPoint, RW3, IRI Analyzer) to formulate conceptual presentations and enhance business outcomes. Showcase strong analytical and Category Management capabilities.
• Mentor Business Managers, Account Managers, and members of the Retail Selling Organization. Share insights and best practices to develop organizational capacity.
• Offer constructive feedback to General Managers and principals. Actively manage personal growth and remain updated on industry trends and initiatives.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in the industry is mandatory.
• Experience: A demonstrated history of success in a sales role with a food broker or major national company. Previous experience must showcase sales expertise and the capability to manage and lead others.
• Skills: Proficiency in various software applications that support the sales function.
