This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Develop and execute the sales strategy for Architecture & Design across all Outdoors brands.
• Establish a cohesive methodology for engaging with architects, designers, and specification partners across various brands and markets.
• Analyze market trends, gather customer insights, and identify specification opportunities that drive long-term business growth.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, R&D, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to align on customer requirements and future product direction.
• Contribute to the creation of scalable processes and structures that facilitate the ongoing growth of the A&D Sales function.
• Lead, mentor, and support the team through collaboration, coaching, and continuous development.
• Cultivate an inclusive, relationship-centered team environment focused on shared success and customer partnership.
• Establish and maintain strong connections with architects, designers, specification writers, and industry partners nationwide.
• Utilize existing industry relationships and networks to broaden specification opportunities and enhance customer engagement.
• Assist in account development efforts and help elevate brand presence within commercial and residential design communities.
• Act as a player/coach by balancing leadership duties with active customer engagement and project support.
• Facilitate specification activities through CRM management, project follow-ups, and ongoing communication with the design community.
• Present and conduct AIA-accredited continuing education programs for architects and designers.
• Over 7 years of experience in architectural specification, outside sales, or roles focused on architecture & design engagement.
• More than 5 years of experience in leadership or people management, including coaching and team development.
• Extensive background working with architects, designers, and specification professionals in both commercial and residential markets.
• Strong comprehension of the architectural sales cycle, specification process, and specification-driven sales strategies.
• Proven track record of building customer relationships and expanding specification opportunities within the A&D channel.
• Experience in developing strategic initiatives, enhancing processes, and supporting organizational growth.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50%.
