Senior Manager, Actuarial

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise a team of analysts

• Drive team projects aimed at improving pricing models and methodologies

• Manage the comprehensive rate development for Oscar's ACA markets within a designated region

• Engage with stakeholders to influence and steer strategic pricing decisions

• Evaluate financial risks and opportunities across ACA markets

• Direct analytical pricing, prospective pricing strategy, SAE considerations, network strategy, and risk mitigation approaches

• Assist in the formulation of national strategy

• Offer actuarial expertise across various cross-functional teams to foster sustainable growth in Oscar's ACA Individual Markets

• Oversee the complete regulatory submission process

• Mentor and coach pricing analysts, providing consistent feedback

• Advocate for and develop actuarial best practices regarding automation and documentation

• Cultivate and maintain relationships and communication with both internal and external stakeholders

• Ensure pricing adheres to actuarial standards

• Report directly to the Director of Actuarial

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline

• Associate or Fellow status with the Society of Actuaries (SOA), or actively pursuing such designation

• Over 7 years of experience in quantitative analysis

• Candidates must be residents of the U.S., excluding Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Wyoming, and U.S. Territories
