This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality and consistent services to clients by enabling, coaching, and coordinating Client Leads and team members.
• Mentor Client Leads in areas such as solution design, client management, delivery strategies, and professional judgment.
• Evaluate client engagement strategies for technical risks, complexity, or deviations from firm standards, and make adjustments when necessary.
• Act as the primary escalation point for delivery challenges, client concerns, and issues related to team capacity.
• Conduct formal performance evaluations and ongoing career development discussions with direct reports.
• Identify skill gaps within the team and address them through coaching, training, or other available resources.
• Manage workload distribution among Client Leads and adjust resource allocation to handle peak periods, client demands, and coverage risks effectively.
• Maintain a selectively limited personal client portfolio, engaging directly with clients to stay technically adept, exemplify the standards expected of your team, and remain a credible resource for coaching and escalation.
• Collaborate across various service lines and teams to translate firm-wide standards into actionable, client-ready execution within your team.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA certification is mandatory.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a client lead, managerial, or team leadership role; experience in public accounting at the Manager level or in outsourced accounting leadership is highly preferred.
• Profound working knowledge of GAAP with hands-on experience navigating accounting complexities specific to startups, such as SAFEs, convertible instruments, ASC 606, equity compensation, and others.
• Proven ability to simultaneously manage a team and a client portfolio without compromising the quality of either.
• Strong coaching and feedback capabilities; you have successfully developed junior accounting professionals and take this responsibility seriously.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; you possess an executive presence in client-facing situations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online; experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Experience in a remote professional services environment is strongly preferred.
