This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Execute and oversee lease accounting functions, encompassing recognition, modifications, terminations, and related journal entries.
• Ensure that lease accounting adheres to US GAAP (ASC 842) and maintains consistency across various brands and entities.
• Examine lease-related balances to guarantee accurate representation in financial statements and corporate reporting.
• Lead month-end closing procedures, which include journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Assure precise and timely reporting of lease-related financial statement components in accordance with corporate closing schedules.
• Aid in the final review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and External Reporting teams for quarterly and annual SEC reporting.
• Prepare documentation for audit support, including walkthroughs and testing assistance.
• Serve as the primary accounting liaison for internal and external audits.
• Identify control weaknesses and process inefficiencies; promote remediation and ongoing improvements.
• Engage in system implementations, upgrades, and process enhancement initiatives.
• Assist in testing for accounting-related projects, system modifications, and new processes.
• Confirm outputs and accounting accuracy following system or process updates.
• Suggest enhancements to improve controls and reporting precision.
• Facilitate process efficiency, data validation, and financial insights utilizing data analytics tools or emerging technologies like AI.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Lease Administration, and FP&A teams throughout the organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in a multi-entity or publicly traded setting.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience significantly contributing to month-end closures, internal control compliance, and audit support.
• Proven capability to collaborate cross-functionally and convey complex accounting topics to various stakeholders.
• Experience in consumer, retail, apparel, footwear, or multi-brand sectors.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools or emerging technologies.
• SAP experience.
• BPC experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy.
• Ability to review and critically assess financial data.
• Capacity to excel in a dynamic, matrixed organization.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
• Must be a resident of Wisconsin.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with teams across various locations and time zones.
