Senior Manager, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the general ledger accounting team.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closing activities.

• Assist with financial statement audits and statutory reporting obligations.

• Propel standardization and process enhancements throughout accounting operations.

• Implement robust internal control practices and foster a culture focused on controls.

• Provide support for DCAA, DCMA, and various external audits.

• Conduct compliance evaluations and pinpoint opportunities to enhance policies, controls, and documentation.

• Create and uphold accounting policies and procedures that meet accounting system adequacy standards.

• Ensure the accuracy of company accounting records and financial close activities, adhering to US GAAP.

• Supervise general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals, and other technical accounting functions.

• Report directly to the Regional Controller.

• Design scalable processes, enhance controls, improve documentation, and cultivate a high-performing accounting team.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities; capable of converting complex regulations into actionable guidance.

• Capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

• Collaborative and proactive approach with a solid business understanding.

• High integrity, ethical reasoning, and a dedication to upholding compliance excellence.

• Technical knowledge of federal contract accounting and compliance frameworks is advantageous.

• Must possess work authorization in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
