Senior Major Gifts Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Identify and nurture potential donors, maintain relationships, and involve individuals in fundraising events and initiatives.

• Create and implement a thorough national donor relations strategy, concentrating on the Northeast region.

• Assist with donor moves management and maintain regular contact with donors.

• Meet with individual donors both in person and virtually to understand their priorities and requirements.

• Foster relationships, request contributions, and draft personalized correspondence for individual donors.

• Oversee the digital fundraising outreach strategy in partnership with the Senior Digital Strategy Manager.

• Ensure proper management of donor records and event documentation.

• Collaborate with the Development & Outreach Coordinator for Action Network fundraising uploads and data handling.

• Spearhead the planning and organization of fundraising events.

• Provide oversight for all Development fundraising and donor engagement activities and events.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree.

• At least five years of experience in relationship building and stewardship within a non-profit environment.

• Proven track record of identifying, securing, and cultivating relationships with individual donors.

• Capability to maintain donor records and perform donor research.

• Experience collaborating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.

• Capacity to manage and prioritize various projects to meet deadlines.

• Strong passion for addressing plastic pollution through policy change and dedication to the mission of Beyond Plastics.

• Demonstrated commitment to environmental justice and civic engagement.

• Confidence, maturity, creative thinking, and exceptional listening skills to engage with donors while ensuring confidentiality.

• Outstanding written communication skills, particularly in grant writing.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with innovative and strategic thinking abilities.

• Proficient in Google Workspace and Raiser’s Edge.
