Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering, SMP/E

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert mainframe systems programming and infrastructure engineering.

• Execute SMP/E software installations, maintenance, upgrades, and support tasks.

• Manage mainframe software effectively.

• Collaborate with JCL, ISPF/TSO, VTAM, TCP/IP, IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Support the infrastructure, architecture, and design of mainframe systems.

• Utilize BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Provide technical guidance and facilitate project/program management and stakeholder communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming.

• Proficient in SMP/E software installations, maintenance, upgrades, and support.

• Skilled in mainframe software installation and administration.

• Familiarity with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Knowledgeable in VTAM and TCP/IP.

• Experienced with IBM Connect.

• Proficient in CA Session Manager and CA Spool.

• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design.

• Experience using BMC AMI tools such as AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Proven ability in technical leadership, project/program management, and stakeholder communication.
