This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and enhance underwriting, settlement, and collection strategies for ExtraCash, FlexCard, and Rent.
• Convert risk appetite into actionable policies, decision-making rules, exposure strategies, and portfolio guidelines.
• Create credit strategies powered by machine learning and AI utilizing data from cash-flow, income, behavioral patterns, bureaus, and alternative sources.
• Take ownership of methodology, validation processes, and production recommendations.
• Design frameworks for experimentation and evaluation, including success metrics, scenario analyses, protective measures, and launch suggestions.
• Collaborate with teams from Product, Engineering, ML Platform, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.
• Oversee portfolio and business performance, identifying new opportunities or potential risks.
• Transform analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Develop reusable models, analytics, and AI-based workflows for development, testing, validation, documentation, and monitoring purposes.
• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Underwriting and Credit Science.
• Over 5 years of experience in consumer credit risk, underwriting, settlement and collection, machine learning, or predictive analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, experimental design, and production decision systems.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages.
• Experience in developing credit strategies throughout the product lifecycle, from launching new products to managing mature portfolios.
• Comprehensive understanding of credit policy, risk appetite, portfolio management, credit performance tracking, and settlement and collection processes.
• Background in working with cash-flow, income, behavioral, bureau, or other alternative datasets.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools in research, coding, analysis, model development, testing, or documentation tasks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical and credit decisions to senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or engineering.
• A PhD in a quantitative discipline is an added advantage.
