This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Establish the technical vision and design the next generation of scalable real-time bidding systems.
• Enhance Unity’s high-scale advertising engine utilizing extensive datasets and rich signals.
• Create cutting-edge bidding and pacing algorithms that optimize returns for advertisers.
• Design, execute, and refine core bidding algorithms and auction mechanisms.
• Build and expand forecasting capabilities for bid landscapes.
• Investigate large-scale marketplace dynamics to derive insights and implement algorithmic enhancements.
• Conduct offline evaluations and online A/B tests to verify model performance and produce measurable business outcomes.
• Engage collaboratively with product, infrastructure, and engineering teams across the organization.
• Practical experience with advanced machine learning, reinforcement learning, and control theory applied to complex, real-world bidding or pricing challenges.
• Proficient software engineering skills in Python.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks, preferably PyTorch.
• Strong grasp of metric design principles.
• Experience with online experimentation frameworks (A/B testing).
• Background in large-scale data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to completion and achieve measurable business outcomes in a complex technical environment.
• Experience with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks such as Spark, Ray, BigQuery, or Flink.
• Background in developing real-time advertising systems, particularly DSP bidding logic, survival analysis for market price estimation, or game-theoretic modeling.
• Experience utilizing AI tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.
• Adequate proficiency in English for professional verbal and written communication.
