Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and develop foundational machine learning systems for a proactive AI platform.

• Take ownership of projects from start to finish, encompassing data curation, model training, evaluation, inference, and ongoing iteration.

• Convert research concepts into robust and reliable production systems.

• Utilize live production signals and data to identify and resolve model anomalies and system bottlenecks.

• Deploy systems, assess real-world performance metrics, refine methodologies, and iterate swiftly.

• Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to align technical milestones with user value.

• Mentor fellow engineers and perform thorough code and technical reviews.

• Optimize model architectures for latency, computational cost, reliability, and safety at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Machine Learning role.

• Proficient in Python.

• Experienced with PyTorch and/or JAX.

• Familiar with GPU-based training and inference systems.

• Proven experience in building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems in real-world settings.

• Strong practical understanding of modern ML model behavior and potential failure modes in production.

• Capability to address production edge cases effectively.

• Demonstrated history of writing clean, robust, production-grade code.

• Architectural mindset that goes beyond basic scripting.

• High level of self-direction and initiative.

• Established ability to independently drive complex technical projects from concept to launch.

• Quick to absorb new concepts.

• Competent in clearly communicating technical trade-offs.
