Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential machine learning systems for a forward-thinking AI platform.

• Take full ownership of projects from start to finish, encompassing data curation, model training, evaluation, inference, and ongoing iteration.

• Convert research ideas into dependable and robust production systems.

• Utilize live production data and signals to diagnose model discrepancies and system inefficiencies.

• Implement systems, assess real-world performance metrics, enhance methodologies, and iterate swiftly.

• Work collaboratively with research, engineering, and product teams.

• Guide fellow engineers and perform thorough technical assessments.

• Enhance model architectures for latency, computational efficiency, reliability, and safety at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Machine Learning position.

• Proficient in Python.

• Familiarity with PyTorch and/or JAX.

• Experience with GPU-accelerated training and inference systems.

• Proven track record in building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems in real-world settings.

• Strong practical insight into the behavior and potential failure modes of modern ML models in live production.

• Capability to address production edge cases effectively.

• History of writing clean, dependable, production-quality code.

• Architectural thinking that extends beyond basic scripting.

• High level of self-motivation and initiative.

• Ability to independently lead complex technical projects from conception to execution.

• Quick to grasp new concepts.

• Skill in clearly communicating technical trade-offs.
