Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design and develop fundamental machine learning systems for an innovative, forward-thinking AI platform.

• Take full ownership of projects from start to finish, encompassing data curation, model training, evaluation, inference, and ongoing iteration.

• Transform advanced research ideas into solid, dependable production systems.

• Utilize real-time production signals and data to diagnose model discrepancies and system performance issues.

• Implement systems, assess real-world performance metrics, enhance methodologies, and iterate swiftly.

• Partner with research, engineering, and product teams to align technical achievements with user benefits.

• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers and perform thorough code and technical evaluations.

• Establish high benchmarks for technical decision-making through practical involvement.

• Enhance model architectures considering latency, computational efficiency, reliability, and safety at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Machine Learning position.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with PyTorch and/or JAX.

• Experience with GPU-based training and inference frameworks.

• Proven track record in building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems in real-world settings.

• Strong hands-on understanding of how contemporary ML models operate and can fail in live environments.

• Capability to address production edge cases effectively.

• History of producing clean, robust, production-quality code.

• Architectural thought process that transcends basic scripting.

• High level of self-motivation and initiative.

• Skill to independently propel complex technical projects from conception to execution.

• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts.

• Proficiency in clearly conveying technical trade-offs.
