Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential machine learning frameworks for a proactive, forward-thinking AI platform.

• Oversee projects from beginning to end, including data gathering, model training, evaluation, inference, and ongoing refinement.

• Convert research ideas into robust and dependable production systems.

• Utilize live production data and signals to identify and resolve model discrepancies and system limitations.

• Implement systems, evaluate real-world performance metrics, enhance methodologies, and iterate quickly.

• Collaborate with research, engineering, and product teams to transform technical achievements into user benefits.

• Guide fellow engineers and perform thorough code and technical evaluations.

• Enhance model architectures to optimize for latency, computational expense, reliability, and safety at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Machine Learning position.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Experience with PyTorch and/or JAX.

• Familiarity with GPU-based training and inference systems.

• Proven experience in building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning systems in real-world applications.

• Strong practical understanding of the behavior and failure modes of modern ML models in live production settings.

• Capability to address model edge cases effectively.

• Proven track record of writing clean, robust, production-ready code.

• Possess an architectural mindset that extends beyond basic scripting.

• High level of self-motivation and initiative.

• Ability to independently manage complex technical projects from conception to implementation.

• Quick to grasp new concepts.

• Skill in clearly communicating technical trade-offs.
