Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create large-scale machine learning models from the ground up.

• Design and implement custom CUDA kernels for optimizing models.

• Enhance distributed training and inference pipelines on cloud platforms.

• Architect and take an active role in managing machine learning systems with strict SLOs or production SLAs.

• Achieve results swiftly in dynamic, fast-paced, early-stage settings.

• Develop internal tools or infrastructure to boost team efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience building a large-scale foundational model from inception to deployment at a high-growth AI/ML startup or a prestigious research institution.

• Proven track record in developing and implementing custom CUDA kernels for model optimization.

• Practical experience in scaling distributed training and inference pipelines on cloud infrastructure.

• Ability to architect and take hands-on control of machine learning systems with stringent SLOs or production SLAs.

• Proven capability to deliver results rapidly in uncertain, high-velocity, early-stage environments.

• Concrete examples of tools or internal infrastructure created to enhance team productivity.

• Graduate-level education — specialization/MBA preferred.

• Skills: IT, systems engineering, risk analysis, data analysis.
