Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and implement production-ready AI and machine learning systems tailored for enterprise clients.

• Transition AI/ML solutions from the experimental phase to scalable production environments.

• Develop production-grade Applied AI and machine learning solutions that align with customer goals, technical specifications, and enterprise settings.

• Convert solution architectures and business needs into maintainable, well-tested code, data pipelines, model pipelines, and technical deliverables.

• Apply production patterns for predictive ML, generative AI, LLM applications, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation, including evaluation, monitoring, and implementing guardrails.

• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise data platforms, applications, APIs, and workflows while ensuring reliability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Contribute to reusable accelerators, reference implementations, engineering standards, and technical playbooks.

• Collaborate with Applied AI Solutions Architects, data scientists, data engineers, platform engineers, project stakeholders, and client representatives.

• Enhance phData's delivery excellence across various clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical field, with at least 3 years focused on designing, building, deploying, or managing AI and machine learning solutions in production.

• Proficient programming skills in Python for developing production-grade AI, ML, and data pipelines.

• Strong understanding of SQL for querying, transforming, and validating data utilized in AI and ML solutions.

• Hands-on experience with modern cloud, data, and AI ecosystems such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, dbt, Anthropic, OpenAI, or equivalent technologies.

• Insight into production AI/ML challenges, including evaluation, observability, security, governance, scalability, performance, and operational support.

• Background in developing production software, APIs, services, data pipelines, or AI applications and integrating them within enterprise settings.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience (education is preferred).

• Preferred: experience in building agentic AI systems, enterprise RAG systems, cloud-native AI/ML services, LLM orchestration frameworks, model registries, feature stores, lineage, monitoring, drift detection, AI evaluations, prompt management, AI gateways, CI/CD, reusable accelerators, modular architectures, libraries, open-source projects, or technical communities.
