This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Design, implement, and sustain secure ML systems, encompassing gateways, authorization frameworks, and scalable model endpoints.
• Develop self-service tools, templates, and automation for agentic AI and model development workflows.
• Create and manage enterprise CI/CD pipelines for ML services, model deployment, and package distribution.
• Establish robust model evaluation tools for consistent, versioned model selection and experiment tracking.
• Engineer and deliver computer vision systems for product detection, dataset generation, and image-based search.
• Execute automated validation, conversion, and cost-effective deployment pipelines for ML models.
• Construct backend microservices that support deep learning inference, image augmentation, and AI-driven applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, research, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable ML solutions.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and security throughout deployed GenAI endpoints and the ML infrastructure.
• Oversee the overarching technical charter and operating model for AI and Autonomy.
• Foster growth and development within the Technical Center and the broader Odyssey Technical community.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Capability to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, MLOps, AI Systems Engineering, or comparable roles.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting secure ML platforms, gateways, or authorization systems for enterprise settings.
• Proficiency in developing and training models and systems utilizing Python, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
• Extensive experience with cloud-based ML ecosystems like AWS SageMaker, Lambda, S3, or equivalent.
• Practical experience in building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with ML lifecycle management frameworks such as MLflow, ClearML, or Databricks.
• Proven ability to create reusable model deployment templates, automated validation tools, and scalable inference APIs.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and messaging tools like Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency in backend development using Python, C#, C++, Java, and SQL.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to develop and present technical briefings and recommendations.
• Ability to convey technical concepts to varying audience levels.
• Competency in working effectively within Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with government, military, and contractor personnel.
