Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Create full-stack machine learning models, encompassing binary classification and regression, aimed at detecting and preventing financial crimes during transaction processing and client onboarding.

• Collect requirements, build prototypes, and implement models in a production environment.

• Take ownership of the Dynamic Risk Score across all markets, ensuring daily scoring of the entire client base.

• Oversee transaction rules utilizing ML-driven detection while enhancing performance and managing alert volumes.

• Set up ongoing production monitoring to assess model and rule performance.

• Develop a champion-challenger framework to maintain the most effective model in production.

• Engage in infrastructure development for the operationalization of ML models and inter-service interactions.

• Serve and infer models of varying complexities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Full-stack Data Scientist.

• Experience in deploying production systems, including API services like FastAPI.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Databricks.

• Strong skills in architectural design for serving models of varying complexities.

• Experience in model monitoring and champion-challenger / A-B evaluation processes in a production setting.

• Background in quantitative fields such as mathematics, engineering, economics, or computer science.

• Full working proficiency in English.

• Experience with graph modeling or foundation models/embeddings is advantageous.

• Critical thinker with analytical skills, proactive and result-oriented; able to work independently in a startup environment.
