Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive full-stack machine learning models, including binary classification and regression, for detecting financial crime during transaction processing and client onboarding.

• Collect requirements, prototype solutions, and implement models in a production environment.

• Take ownership and enhance the Dynamic Risk Score across all markets, scoring the entire client base on a daily basis.

• Oversee transaction rules using machine learning-driven detection and optimize both performance and alert generation.

• Track the performance of models and rules in a production setting.

• Establish a champion-challenger framework to ensure the best-performing model is consistently utilized.

• Engage in the development of infrastructure for machine learning operationalization and inter-service communications.

• Deploy and infer models of varying complexities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Full-stack Data Scientist.

• Experience in production deployment, including API services such as FastAPI.

• Proficient in SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Databricks.

• Strong architectural abilities for infrastructure that serves models of varying complexities.

• Experience in model monitoring and champion-challenger / A-B evaluation in production.

• A quantitative degree in math, engineering, economics, or computer science.

• Full professional proficiency in English.

• Exposure to graph modeling or foundation models/embeddings is advantageous.

• Ability to work proactively, with a results-driven mindset, critically and analytically, and with minimal supervision in a start-up environment.
