Senior Lifecycle Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions – APAC

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee and resolve intricate employee exit processes from beginning to end with minimal oversight across various international jurisdictions, focusing on delivering an exceptional offboarding experience for Remote's clients and their employees.

β€’ Offer reliable and informed guidance with an advanced understanding of critical jurisdictions, managing clients' inquiries related to diverse HR topics, including but not limited to termination, resignation, transfer protocols, employment contracts, and redundancy processes, ensuring adherence to legal standards and best practices.

β€’ Independently organize and lead meetings with clients and external employees, including but not limited to workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, negotiations regarding separations and settlements, advising on terminations, and delivering termination outcomes.

β€’ Negotiate and influence favorable results in complex termination cases, skillfully guiding and directing various stakeholders with conflicting interests through a complex, involved, and sometimes protracted process.

β€’ Coordinate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with offboarding activities and audits, including but not limited to payroll, legal advisors, government agencies, and trade unions.

β€’ Draft, customize, and manage all termination and supplementary documents with precision and attention to detail, ensuring employee records are handled in strict compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

β€’ Administer offboarding processes on Remote's internal HRIS platform, collaborating with different internal teams, such as Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Attendance, among others, to ensure that all components of the employee exit are managed accurately and timely.

β€’ Serve as the primary informal escalation point as a trusted colleague with sound judgment, providing expertise, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members.

β€’ Offer comprehensive insights on Remote's Employee Relations resources, assisting clients in navigating complex workplace situations.

β€’ Conduct thorough preliminary evaluations of workplace issues, pinpointing key facts, applicable local regulations, and potential paths forward.

β€’ Act as a reliable resource for both internal and external stakeholders on employee relations issues, ensuring appropriate handling of complex cases.

β€’ Assist clients in grasping progressive disciplinary measures, documentation necessities, and best practices for managing challenging situations.

β€’ Monitor and track ongoing employee relations cases, ensuring timely follow-ups and proper coordination with relevant stakeholders.

β€’ Serve as the subject-matter expert and proactively address internal and external inquiries related to offboarding and first-level employee relations issues in collaboration with Lifecycle's internal stakeholders.

β€’ Identify opportunities, advocate for and implement process enhancements, automation, product development, and overall improvements in customer and employee experience throughout the offboarding and employee relations processes.

β€’ Establish methods, procedures, and standards for new assignments. Exercise discretion in selecting methods, evaluating, adapting intricate techniques and evaluation criteria for achieving results, considering broader Lifecycle and Remote necessities.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, with a comprehensive understanding of generalist HR competencies and exposure throughout the employee lifecycle.

β€’ Tertiary qualifications in HR, labor relations, or employment law are considered advantageous.

β€’ Demonstrated experience with a solid background in independently managing voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance, along with providing thorough HR advice and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.

β€’ Knowledge of employee relations principles, progressive disciplinary methods, and fundamental workplace investigation techniques.

β€’ Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, and utilize problem-solving skills to independently arrive at solutions (occasionally with minimal supervision), conduct research, and translate findings into usable resources for the team, providing practical solutions and effectively communicating recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in ambiguous and unfamiliar environments.

β€’ Excellent communication, influencing, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, with the ability to independently guide difficult discussions to a positive resolution, often when parties have conflicting interests, while projecting authority and expertise as Remote's representative and maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality.

β€’ Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus.

β€’ A strong inclination and enthusiasm for innovating and optimizing processes, continuously identifying, developing, and executing automation opportunities while championing best practices.

β€’ Operational efficiency, with an understanding of the significance of thorough record-keeping and data integrity.

β€’ Technologically adept, capable of collaborating asynchronously across various tools, and adapting to new and evolving systems.

β€’ Ability to work independently and cohesively in an international team within a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment, successfully juggling multiple competing priorities. Willingness to work flexible hours as required.

β€’ Proactive and self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, as well as the ability to motivate others.

β€’ Demonstrates strong automation skills, AI capabilities, and fluency in AI technologies.
