Senior Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Specialist, Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee all international licensing activities conducted by AtkinsRealis US Nuclear, including those performed by subcontractors and affiliates on designated advanced nuclear and engineering projects.

• Collaborate with the AtkinsRealis VP of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs as well as the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

• Deliver licensing services and products for the Commercial Nuclear Services portfolio.

• Create and assess technical documents and project outputs.

• Organize and implement work in compliance with quality, budget, and scheduling requirements.

• Eliminate obstacles impacting deliverables and collaborate with assigned personnel on solutions and enhancements.

• Engage in the preparation of commercial proposals and authorize technical proposal content.

• Oversee technical integration and interface control across various project disciplines and with clients.

• Ensure that qualified personnel are allocated to suitable project tasks.

• Manage the budget, schedule, and quality of technical deliverables.

• Confirm that final outputs comply with contract stipulations as well as nuclear codes and standards.

• Evaluate key technical project documentation.

• Supervise the technical quality of submissions to the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

• Recognize and suggest project enhancements.

• Execute project security access and need-to-know protocols.

• Communicate with executive leadership, project directors, vendors, builders, construction managers, and site engineering managers regarding licensing issues.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years supporting nuclear projects.

• In-depth understanding of NRC Regulations.

• Capability to work in a team setting with little guidance and supervision.

• Ability to apply experience and judgment with considerable creativity and flexibility.

• Demonstrated success in planning, scheduling, and tracking initiatives.

• Comprehensive knowledge of building and nurturing strong multidisciplinary teams and enhancing team capabilities and resources.

• Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) License.

• Senior Reactor Operator License or Certification is required.

• U.S. citizenship is necessary for consideration.
