Senior Compliance Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide consultation to large defined contribution and/or defined benefit clients regarding strategies that align retirement benefit programs with business objectives and regulatory requirements under ERISA.

• Facilitate in-depth strategic discussions with clients to gain insights into their business and employee benefit programs.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and delivery of projects.

• Support innovative solutions for both new and prospective clients.

• Enhance and nurture existing client relationships.

• Collaborate within a team-oriented and dynamic environment.

• Motivate associates and foster a fulfilling and productive workplace.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Over 12 years of experience in the retirement benefits sector and/or consulting for large organizations.

• Juris Doctorate (with an ERISA specialty) or equivalent credentials (e.g., ASPPA CPC).

• Strong knowledge of qualified Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit plans.

• Familiarity with non-qualified retirement design, compliance, and taxation issues.

• Understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements (ERISA/IRS/DOL).

• Experience in drafting and/or reviewing qualified and non-qualified plan documents, SPDs, and other necessary employee benefit materials.

• Proficiency with IRS/DOL correction programs and submissions.

• Exceptional partnership abilities and capacity to influence stakeholders across various groups.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
