Senior Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the General Counsel as a key member of the Legal Team.

• Take ownership of and manage commercial contracts, including SAAS and various service agreements.

• Provide comprehensive global commercial guidance on SAAS arrangements, deployment, SLAs, and related matters across Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East, and the USA.

• Advise, prepare, and negotiate SAAS enterprise, reseller, referral, distributor, and platform agreements.

• Provide counsel on Harrison templates and third-party contract documents.

• Assist with public government tenders for SAAS and SAMD products on a global scale.

• Support the General Counsel on strategic, stakeholder, and business-as-usual (BAU) issues.

• Contribute to potential corporate M&A activities.

• Develop and implement procedures, systems, policies, and frameworks to foster company growth.

• Manage external legal advisors as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of PQE with relevant experience at a leading international law firm and/or substantial in-house experience.

• Preference for experience in Corporate M&A and/or Commercial/TMT sectors.

• Demonstrated global experience.

• Subject matter expertise in SAAS and related commercial contracting, particularly within the AI/tech sector.

• Familiarity with public government tenders.

• Valid legal practicing certificate in NSW.

• Experience in fast-paced and dynamic industries, including technology and AI.

• Proficient in contract management systems such as Lawvu or similar platforms.

• Exceptional commercial judgment and communication abilities.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Self-motivated team player who takes initiative and ownership of assigned matters.
