Senior Legal Counsel

📋 Description

• Serve as a senior member of the Lotus Legal & Compliance team, collaborating closely with the Head of Legal & Compliance to deliver strategic legal guidance and commercial consultancy throughout the global organization, primarily focusing on Europe.

• Support the commercial team by providing advice on a wide array of legal and strategic issues, which includes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing various commercial contracts, as well as liaising with suppliers, distributors, and business partners.

• Offer advice and manage a diverse range of commercial agreements, with a special emphasis on distribution, retail, and aftersales agreements; IP licensing agreements; procurement contracts for goods and services; and associated sales and distribution documentation, ensuring compliance with EU data protection regulations.

• Work closely with Lotus subsidiaries and external legal counsel across different jurisdictions to assist with global product compliance initiatives and corporate governance matters.

• Provide company secretarial assistance for European legal entities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Lawyer qualified in Belgium or France, possessing approximately 5-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

• Proficient in English.

• Demonstrated expertise and knowledge in all types of Distribution and Procurement Agreements.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.

• Strong negotiation capabilities in both domestic and international transactions.

• Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Independent, with a structured approach to work.

• Creative and results-driven.

• Seeking a team player with a strong sense of ownership who is also collaborative and supportive.

• Experience in an international setting is essential.

• Background in commercial contracts and licensing is required.

• Desirable: Previous experience as an in-house lawyer within a corporate group is strongly preferred.

• Desirable: Experience in the automotive sector.

• Desirable: Proficiency in additional European languages such as French or Italian.

• Desirable: A qualification in Italian Law would be a plus.
