Senior Lead, Software Engineering Specialist – Workday Time Tracking, Absence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, and provide support for Time Tracking and Absence solutions utilizing Workday as the primary system of record.

• Act as a subject matter expert in Workday Time Tracking and Absence, taking ownership of solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment to meet global business needs.

• Collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, and downstream teams to ensure the delivery of accurate, compliant, and scalable solutions.

• Accountable for converting business requirements into effective Workday configuration solutions.

• Offer guidance on best practices, assess impacts across related domains, and guarantee that solutions remain sustainable and supportable.

• Work in partnership with integration partners and technical teams as needed, emphasizing functional configuration, solution quality, and business results.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday configuration, demonstrating deep expertise in Time Tracking and Absence.

• Demonstrated ability to autonomously design and implement Workday configuration solutions, from initial requirements through to deployment.

• A strong grasp of time, absence, and payroll-related business processes, including their downstream impacts.

• Experience in supporting live Workday environments, including troubleshooting and making configuration changes in production systems.

• Experience with global or multi-country Workday deployments.

• Knowledge of Workday business process frameworks, security considerations, and reporting implications related to Time and Absence.

• Capable of translating business requirements into scalable and supportable Workday solutions using best-practice configuration methods.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in a cross-functional, enterprise environment.
