Senior Lead Network Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, automate, and maintain network solutions within expansive public cloud environments.

• Deploy and support firewall solutions based on VM, container, and cloud-native technologies.

• Provide network assistance for Kubernetes platforms and their workloads.

• Create roadmaps utilizing established public cloud design standards.

• Engage in design reviews, offering network support and guidance to the Engineering team.

• Oversee network infrastructure as code to minimize manual tasks.

• Assess, specify, implement, and maintain tools for monitoring network performance, capacity, and availability.

• Expand the global network function, onboard network development engineers, provide technical direction, and set team objectives.

• Keep abreast of developments in network infrastructure and participate in industry events.

• Take part in an on-call rotation as necessary.

• Travel occasionally as required to fulfill job responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with over 10 years of professional experience, including a background in an enterprise SaaS organization.

• Advanced knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, DNS, BGP, and public cloud networking concepts across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Proven experience in managing and maintaining a production-facing Kubernetes environment.

• Expert understanding of Kubernetes networking and CNI implementations.

• Knowledge of Ingress and Gateway controllers, service discovery, cluster DNS, and NetworkPolicy.

• Experience operating within both data center and cloud environments.

• Proficiency in managing and supporting various Linux distributions.

• Capability to code in Golang, Python, Java, Ruby, or similar programming languages.

• Familiarity with Terraform and CloudFormation, or tools like Chef, Ansible, and/or Spacelift.

• Active engagement with AI tools and methodologies.

• Expertise in advanced network troubleshooting, packet capture analysis, and traffic flow diagnostics.

• Ability to take ownership of projects and issues until resolution.

• Strong understanding of networking systems and protocols in public cloud settings.

• Capacity to work within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
