Senior Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark.

📋 Description

• Serve as a business-focused legal advisor, striking a balance between compliance and competitiveness while identifying innovative strategies to advance the business.

• Draft, provide counsel on, revise, implement, and ensure adherence to loan agreements and associated documentation tailored for the Danish market.

• Monitor changes in industry regulations and guarantee prompt implementation.

• Negotiate, prepare, and assess legal documents for business partnerships, vendors, and subcontractors within Denmark.

• Advise the Country Manager and legal team on compliance and legal issues.

• Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to deliver legal expertise.

• Address customer complaints, regulatory inquiries, and support the debt recovery team, ensuring the company's interests are safeguarded.

• Undertake additional legal responsibilities as required within the scope of the role.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master of Laws degree obtained in Denmark along with 5+ years of experience in a comparable role (in-house or law firm), including internships.

• Comprehensive understanding of Danish consumer credit regulations with the capability to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Strong skills in negotiation and contract drafting pertinent to business agreements and partnerships.

• Ability to manage and resolve customer complaints while safeguarding the company's interests.

• Experience in advising cross-functional teams regarding compliance and legal matters.

• Proficiency in analyzing legislative developments and implementing necessary changes.

• Exceptional spoken and written skills in both Danish and English.
