
Senior Key Account Manager – Energy Transition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Take ownership of and expand a portfolio of strategic Energy Transition OEM accounts, acting as the primary commercial relationship manager and internal account coordinator.
• Create and implement multi-year key account strategies that include stakeholder mapping, application requirements, customer initiatives, revenue/margin projections, risks, competitive positioning, and share-of-wallet opportunities.
• Foster strong customer relationships through systematic multi-threaded engagement across engineering, procurement, supply chain, operations, quality, program management, and executive leadership.
• Lead regular customer business reviews, program evaluations, technical/commercial alignment meetings, and internal action assessments to ensure clear commitments and follow-ups.
• Identify, assess, and convert new opportunities within existing strategic accounts and adjacent clean-energy sectors by understanding customer systems, specifications, challenges, and decision criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, quality, operations, customer experience, and finance teams to support product launches, capacity planning, delivery commitments, design-in efforts, and issue resolution.
• Oversee commercial execution, including value-based selling, pricing strategy, quotation discipline, long-term agreements, contract negotiations, and escalation management.
• Manage intricate project timelines, customer milestones, qualification criteria, launch risks, and cross-functional deliverables with a strong emphasis on project management discipline.
• Ensure accurate CRM data, account plans, sales forecasts, opportunity stage discipline, and pipeline health metrics; employ 80/20 thinking to focus on high-impact activities.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or a related technical field is preferred; equivalent experience may also be considered.
• Over 7 years of experience in OEM sales, key account management, technical sales, program management, or business development within engineered industrial products.
• Proven success in managing complex strategic accounts with multiple stakeholders, extended sales cycles, negotiated agreements, and cross-functional delivery requirements.
• Familiarity with energy transition, distributed power, fuel cells, hydrogen, batteries, power generation, industrial systems, rotating equipment, pneumatics, pumps, blowers, compressors, vacuum systems, or valves is preferred.
• Strong CRM discipline and proficiency in utilizing data to prioritize opportunities, manage risks, and convey status updates.
